Does Palmer Homes build in the winter?
Yes. There are many things we do that allow us to build homes year round. By heating the concrete, using special additives and other cold weather techniques we can maintain the quality of your home no matter what time of year it is built.
How long does it take to build a home?
It varies depending on the size of your home and interior details. An average home will take between four to six months after all permits are issued.
Will Palmer Homes build on a lot I already own?
Yes. We have experience building on all types of lots. We build on acreages and infill lots.
Can I go into my home during construction?
Yes, we make arrangements for you to enter your home at various times during construction so you can see the progress and feel the excitement involved in building your new home.
Can I put sweat equity into my new home?
Yes, but there are conditions that need to be met to satisfy our requirements and ensure that your home is built well and on a timely basis. Contact us for more details on how to get started.
How much help do I get making selections for colors and finishes of my new home?
Building a home is a personal experience and each person is different. We will schedule a consultation and provide as much or as little help as you need to make selections and build the home you want.
Does Palmer Homes build accessible homes for people with special needs?
Yes, we have experience building accessible homes for people with specific requirements. We have built homes with no front steps so that wheel chairs can enter easily. Additionally, accessible homes can be constructed to look as beautiful as any other home we build.
Is it more expensive to build a custom home?
A custom home does not mean a more expensive home. In a custom home the floorplan is designed specifically for you and you choose each feature. In fact you can save money by only including options you need and leaving out items that are not as valuable to you. You can also add anything you desire and build as extravagant as your budget will allow. The beauty is, you choose!
Can I make changes to the floor plan?
Yes. Even if you don’t want a completely custom home you can personalize one of our existing plans to meet your needs.
